This is a principal-level builder seat, not a slide-deck architect gig. You’ll write production code most of the week, lead architecture across product and platform, and ship AI-powered features that create real customer value for 1M+ entrepreneurs.

- Works closely with platform and product teams; serves as an escalation point for production incidents

What You’ll Do
- Lead solution design for the highest-complexity initiatives across product and platform domains
- Write production code 70%+ of the time, design systems, and review PRs to raise engineering quality
- Design and ship AI-powered features into production (recommendations, automated compliance, predictive lifecycle, or similar)
- Drive platform modernization including service decomposition, event-driven architecture, and data migration
- Establish and enforce coding standards, review guidelines, and architectural patterns across teams
- Connect product engineering and platform engineering through reusable services, APIs, and data contracts
- Mentor Technical Leads on architecture, engineering craft, and AI-native development practices
- Serve as the senior escalation point for P1/P2 incidents and help reduce time to resolution
- Maintain platform health while balancing speed to market with long-term architecture decisions
What You Need
- Proven experience building and shipping AI-powered products or features in production
- Deep hands-on engineering craft with daily production coding and strong PR review skills
- Full-stack fluency across backend and frontend, including APIs and event-driven architecture
- Experience designing systems at scale and making pragmatic tradeoffs
- Ability to operate across product delivery and platform infrastructure without creating debt
- Regular use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) with measurable productivity gains
- Strong collaboration and influence through craft, pairing, and design sessions
- Preferred: experience in SMB or prosumer products, e-commerce, legal tech, fintech, or compliance-heavy industries
- Preferred: familiarity with legacy CRM and regulatory complexity is a plus (implied by platform direction, but not required)
