  • Remote, US-based role with occasional travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding and team events

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design and development of Java/Spring Boot microservices for distributed, cloud-based systems
  • Build and optimize real-time/near real-time data pipelines at scale
  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient, production-grade code
  • Automate workflows and improve delivery with scripting and DevOps practices
  • Debug, test, and validate systems with a test-driven approach
  • Review code, mentor teammates, and promote engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fix, improve, and deliver reliable products
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and enterprise design patterns

What You Need

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience (7+ years with Java/Spring Boot microservices)
  • Strong background in distributed systems, data engineering, and SaaS apps
  • Experience with Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  • Expertise with data lakehouse architectures (Azure ADLS Gen2, Apache Hudi)
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and critical-thinking skills
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and leading through ambiguity
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for faster coding and advanced integration
  • Bonus: experience with agentic AI components

Compensation

  • $162,000 – $181,000 annually
