This role is built around disaster recovery, business continuity, and security remediation across enterprise infrastructure, with enough breadth (Citrix, AD/Azure AD, Windows Server, cloud, virtualization) that you’ll never be bored.

About Navitus

Manager, Platform Engineering and FinOps – Remote

This role sits right at the intersection of “make engineering faster” and “stop cloud spend from getting stupid.” You’ll lead platform engineering (CI/CD, developer tooling, containers, observability) while owning FinOps and software procurement so teams can ship securely, reliably, and with cost governance that actually sticks.

About Navitus
Navitus Health Solutions is a pharmacy benefits organization built to make medications more affordable by removing cost from the drug supply chain. They’re pushing modernization in a hybrid cloud environment with a strong emphasis on AWS, enterprise architecture alignment, and a culture that values collaboration and new ideas.

Schedule
Full-time remote role
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm CT
Remote eligibility excludes residents of: AK, HI, ME, MS, NH, NM, ND, RI, SC, SD, WV, WY

What You’ll Do

  • Lead platform engineering efforts across CI/CD pipelines, developer enablement tooling, and internal developer platform (IDP) initiatives
  • Oversee integration and upkeep of tools like Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and Snyk to support secure development workflows
  • Run cloud FinOps practices: forecasting, usage tracking, tagging enforcement, and savings recommendations
  • Guide observability engineering (metrics, logs, traces) to improve reliability and incident response
  • Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud Ops to align on tooling, architecture, platform reliability, and cost governance
  • Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps principles
  • Produce cost governance reporting and dashboards highlighting AWS usage and optimization opportunities
  • Mentor and lead a team of platform engineers, DevOps engineers, and FinOps analysts
  • Define and execute a roadmap for platform modernization and cloud financial maturity

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years in platform engineering or DevOps roles
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience managing cloud spend and partnering with infrastructure and/or finance on cost optimization
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, cost management tools, observability platforms, and developer enablement best practices
  • AWS, FinOps, and/or DevOps certifications (preferred)

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 20 days paid time off
  • 4 weeks paid parental leave
  • 9 paid holidays
  • 401(k) match up to 5% (no vesting requirement)
  • Adoption Assistance Program
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Educational Assistance Plan and professional membership assistance
  • Referral bonus program (up to $750)

Pay Range: $112,640 – $140,800/yr (plus 10% at-risk bonus eligibility).

Backbone check: this job is not “just DevOps.” If the person can’t lead people and enforce standards (tagging, tool adoption, IaC discipline), FinOps turns into a polite suggestion and the cloud bill keeps laughing. The right manager will make shipping smoother and costs visible enough that leadership actually acts.

  • Referral bonus program (up to $750)

Pay Range: $105,271 – $131,588/yr (plus 5% at-risk bonus eligibility).

Real talk: this isn’t an “entry architect” role. If someone doesn’t have legit AWS + CDK + CI/CD chops and can’t guide devs through implementation, they’ll drown. But if they do, this is a strong remote architecture lane with real influence.
