  • Remote (U.S.-based/onshore required)
  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM (ET)
  • On-call rotation required (weekends and off-hours, 24/7 rotation)
  • Travel may be required for training and disaster recovery

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the IBM MQ Administrator for enterprise messaging environments
  • Monitor, maintain, and customize MQ systems and queue manager environments
  • Evaluate, install, upgrade, and migrate MQ software versions
  • Analyze and tune MQ performance to ensure reliable throughput
  • Troubleshoot MQ issues and provide technical assistance to teams and customers
  • Develop processes/procedures for MQ security, administration, recovery, chargeback, and automation
  • Partner with application teams to implement messaging solutions aligned to enterprise architecture
  • Produce daily status reports for the Systems Integration team

What You Need

  • 3+ years of IBM WebSphere MQ administration, maintenance, and integration (v7+) including installation/configuration
  • Application coding experience with IBM MQ (e.g., JCL, Cobol, Java, Java/JMS, C/C++) including debugging
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere CICS adapter and MQI for connecting to MQ objects
  • Knowledge of message security architecture and securing MQ environments
  • Ability to administer queue managers and MQ objects (queues, channels, listeners, process definitions)
  • Comfort with Windows OS and productivity tools (Word, Excel) plus remote administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and travel overnight as needed
  • Ability to multitask, take ownership, and work across mainframe, distributed systems, and network teams
