What You’ll Do
- Lead and support a team of mainframe software engineers through guidance, code reviews, and technical problem solving
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to define requirements and deliver software projects successfully
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and growth planning
- Manage priorities, tasks, timelines, and resourcing to keep projects on track
- Identify risks early and drive issue resolution to protect delivery, stability, and quality
- Promote innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning across the engineering team
- Ensure system availability, performance, reliability, monitoring, and incident management
- Maintain security, access controls, and compliance needs for the account
- Oversee integrations with other applications and platforms
- Create and maintain documentation to support smooth operations and knowledge sharing
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent education and experience)
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience, including 2+ years in a similar role
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages and modern development methodologies
- Strong programming, debugging, and software engineering best practices
- Prior experience leading, mentoring, or coaching engineers
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Must be ITAR compliant and able to provide proof of US citizenship
- Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
- Willingness to complete required background check and drug screening
