What You’ll Do
- Design, code, test, and maintain COBOL programs for mainframe applications
- Collaborate with analysts and developers to ensure seamless integration within IT systems
- Analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely solutions
- Optimize performance and improve efficiency of COBOL applications
- Create and maintain clear documentation for programs and processes
- Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code reliability and compliance
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of COBOL mainframe development experience (Medicaid experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies and tools
- Experience with large-scale projects involving complex business logic
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
