What You’ll Do
- Lead enterprise security strategy and architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
- Build and execute a security architecture roadmap aligned to business goals and regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain security standards, patterns, documentation, and reference architectures aligned to NIST, OWASP, ISO, and CIS
- Champion secure-by-design practices, including automation and scalable governance
- Define, track, and report security metrics that demonstrate maturity, effectiveness, and compliance
- Design and oversee secure architecture topologies for enterprise systems and enablement platforms
- Drive DevSecOps adoption, including secure CI/CD integration, container security (Kubernetes/Docker), IaC/PaC (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Azure Policy)
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response planning for Azure and hybrid systems
- Provide expert guidance on IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and cloud security controls
- Evaluate and recommend security products and vendors aligned to enterprise standards
- Partner closely with technology teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to embed security into IT strategy
- Mentor architects and engineers and help build a security-first culture
- Deliver security awareness guidance and training across IT and business teams
- Stay current on emerging threats, new technologies, and regulatory changes, recommending improvements as needed
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or 5+ years relevant experience)
- 2+ years in a senior or lead security architecture role
- Proven expertise in Azure security and compliance, hybrid cloud security, and enterprise security architecture
- Experience with strategic planning, enterprise architecture, and IT portfolio management
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Azure security tools, including:
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Defender
- Key Vault
- Entra ID
- Azure Firewall
- Azure Policy/Blueprints
- Experience automating security controls and compliance reporting in Azure
- Strong knowledge of IAM, PKI, SSO, MFA, and secure API integration
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Experience working in agile environments
