What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-class applications on the J2EE platform
- Participate across the full SDLC from requirements through deployment and support
- Build applications using J2EE application servers and modern full-stack components
- Implement authentication/authorization and caching strategies
- Develop secure, scalable REST/SOAP web services for client-facing applications
- Implement REST security using JWT, OAuth, and related standards
- Build reusable, testable modules and components
- Optimize and maintain enterprise-level web services with end-to-end ownership of the services stack
- Support and enhance REST services that power external client experiences
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Java Developer
- Experience working in federal or state government environments
- 1+ year of experience supporting Health and Human Services programs (SNAP/TANF)
- 1+ year of experience in Eligibility and Enrollment
- Hands-on experience with: Java/J2EE, REST/SOAP, Spring, JSON/XML, JWT/OAuth, caching, and auth frameworks
- Front-end experience with: HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, Webix JS
- Experience using API tools such as Postman and/or ReadyAPI
