Broadway Ventures is seeking a Java Developer to help build and scale our in-house integration platform. You’ll design, develop, and maintain integration solutions that connect internal applications and external partners across multiple platforms, ensuring our systems remain secure, vendor-agnostic, and future-ready.

Schedule

  • Full-time, salaried role
  • Remote U.S. based (with occasional in-person collaboration if located near Madison, WI)

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable integration solutions using Java and Apache Camel
  • Develop and manage APIs for portability across multiple clients
  • Build in-house integrations to replace vendor dependencies
  • Connect systems via SOAP and REST for seamless communication
  • Translate contracts and business needs into integration workflows
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve integration performance
  • Document code, processes, and architectures for long-term maintainability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven Java development experience with integration frameworks (Apache Camel strongly preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with SOAP and REST protocols
  • Skilled in designing, consuming, and managing APIs
  • Understanding of integration principles, scalability, and system interoperability
  • Experience creating vendor-agnostic, portable solutions across clients
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Healthcare or Medicare integration experience is a plus
