The Information Security team protects mission-critical systems, sensitive data, and infrastructure across the organization. As an Information Security Engineer, you’ll partner with IT, application teams, and business units to strengthen security posture, reduce risk, and defend against emerging threats.


Schedule

  • Full-time, exempt
  • Remote (California residents only)
  • Salary range: $110,500 – $117,000 annually
  • On-call availability required for urgent incidents

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to internal and external security threats using IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability tools, and other security platforms.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing; collaborate with IT and leadership to resolve findings.
  • Provide security guidance for new products, systems, and technology initiatives.
  • Review business system designs to ensure secure configurations and adherence to security policies.
  • Oversee anti-malware, DLP, URL filtering, certificate management, identity access controls, and other core security tools.
  • Evaluate and optimize IDS/IPS/SIEM rules and wireless rogue access point detection.
  • Participate in access privilege setup, control structures, and resource management.
  • Support internal and external audits; address recommendations and provide documentation.
  • Contribute to secure network architecture design, configuration reviews, and ongoing optimization.
  • Track and report on security control performance, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Stay current with regulations including GLBA, PCI, SOX, and privacy requirements.
  • Perform additional security and risk-related duties as needed.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or security engineering.
  • Knowledge of SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM, antivirus/EDR, DLP, firewalls, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, LDAP, virtualization, database security, secure messaging, endpoint protection, and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF and tracking cybersecurity KPIs.
  • Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong ethics, integrity, judgment, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on-call and support after-hours incident response.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of hardware when needed.
