What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade systems using Python/Django and TypeScript/React
- Focus primarily on backend infrastructure, while contributing across the full stack
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teammates to drive feature development
- Write clean, well-tested code with near-complete backend test coverage
- Use Docker and AWS services (S3, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Redshift) to deploy and maintain systems
- Evaluate and implement AI models and tools across product and internal workflows
- Participate in continuous deployment, point-in-time recovery, and agile sprints
- Contribute to open source projects like Orchestra and publish learnings when possible
- Balance speed with scalability, and pragmatism with craftsmanship
What You Need
- 4+ years of experience building production-grade systems
- Strong backend development experience with Python/Django or similar stacks
- Ability to work across the stack with frontend frameworks like React
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working autonomously
- Passion for teaching, learning, and mentoring
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize between tasks
- Interest in AI, automation, and the future of work
- Desire to contribute to a mission-driven team focused on empowering meaningful work
- Bonus: Experience with mobile development or AI integration
