Compensation: $171,000–$248,000 USD (equity eligible; total package varies by experience and location)
What You’ll Do
- Manage a cross-functional team (backend + frontend, multiple platforms) building top-of-funnel features like search, recommendations, and personalized content
- Partner with Product on prioritization, planning cycles, and roadmap delivery for fans and enterprise customers
- Strengthen operational and engineering best practices to keep execution smooth and reliable
- Provide regular feedback, run 1:1s, and support career growth for direct reports
- Support recruiting efforts to grow the engineering org
- Perform code reviews and give technical and design feedback
- Communicate decisions clearly, remove blockers, and collaborate with leaders across the organization
What You Need
- 5+ years as an engineer in a hands-on coding role
- 2+ years leading productive engineering teams as an Engineering Manager
- Strong technical foundation and a track record of building healthy engineering culture
- Ability to lead through context-setting and cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and leadership
- Data-driven decision-making skills for prioritization and opportunity sizing
- Experience with SEO fundamentals and strategies that drive organic traffic, plus interest in AI Search
- Experience in SEM
- Familiarity with web analytics and measurement tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO platforms)
