What You’ll Do
- Manage a cross-functional engineering team (backend and frontend across multiple platforms) building top-of-funnel features like search, recommendations, and personalized content
- Partner closely with Product on prioritization, planning cycles, and delivering value for fans and enterprise customers
- Improve operational rhythms and engineering best practices to keep delivery consistent and high quality
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, run 1:1s, and support career development for direct reports
- Play an active role in recruiting and growing the engineering org
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical and design feedback
- Communicate technical and product decisions clearly, remove blockers, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders
What You Need
- 5+ years as a hands-on engineer in a role primarily focused on writing code
- 2+ years of engineering management experience leading productive, motivated teams
- Strong technical foundation and an engineering culture mindset your team can model
- Ability to help teams make smart tooling and framework decisions in a fast-moving tech environment
- Skill in setting context and facilitating collaboration across product, design, engineering, and leadership
- Experience using data to identify opportunities, prioritize work, and make decisions
- SEO experience and knowledge of factors that drive organic traffic, including interest in AI search
- Experience in search engine marketing (SEM)
- Experience with web analytics measurement methodologies and tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEO tools)
