What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop engineering managers and staff-level engineers, building a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Own delivery outcomes for web initiatives, setting realistic commitments based on capacity, dependencies, and technical plans
  • Partner with Product and Design leaders to align priorities, scope, and sequencing and turn strategy into execution
  • Guide technical direction across modern web tooling (TypeScript, React, Redux, Playwright, and related systems)
  • Drive operational excellence through observability, security, and post-incident learning
  • Anticipate and manage delivery risk across complex, cross-team environments with shared dependencies
  • Support hiring, onboarding, org design, and talent development so teams scale sustainably
  • Represent web engineering in executive and cross-functional forums with clear, credible communication
  • Champion inclusive, accessible, member-centric digital experiences aligned with CVS Health values

What You Need

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including building modern web applications
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers and senior technical leaders
  • Strong understanding of modern web architectures (component systems, micro-frontends, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Proven ability to lead teams through complex, high-visibility delivery cycles
  • Experience partnering with Product, Design, and Platform teams in large, matrixed organizations
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years relevant experience)

  • Pay range: $100,000–$231,540/year (based on experience, location, and other factors)
