- Remote: Yes (U.S. only)
- Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern for the first 2–3 months, then 11:00am to 8:00pm Eastern ongoing
- Travel: Up to 10%
- Expectation: Support FAA development tenants with reliable, compliant cloud operations and responsive ticket-based support
What You’ll Do
- Provide DevOps support for FAA applications and systems, including deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance
- Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning and environment management
- Support version control and code management practices using GitLab and GitHub
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, application errors, and infrastructure outages in cloud and hybrid environments
- Respond to service desk tickets for technical cloud support, troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly
- Assist with containerization efforts using Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent technologies
- Partner with system engineers, developers, and cybersecurity teams to resolve issues and maintain compliance requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, standard operating procedures, and configuration references
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for infrastructure, automation tools, and development environments
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2+ years supporting cloud security and network operations
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with network configuration, firewall administration, and Palo Alto firewall support
- Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust
- Experience troubleshooting cloud and network environments and providing Tier 2 or Tier 3 technical support
- Ability to manage and resolve service desk tickets in a timely manner
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background check
