GovCIO is hiring a Desktop Systems Engineer to support the National Library of Medicine (NLM) proposal. In this fully remote role, you’ll provide technical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving corporate desktop systems, ensuring reliable performance for users across the organization.

Schedule

What You’ll Do
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems and small networks
- Provide upgrades, enhancements, and repairs across hardware, software, and operating systems
- Support desktop standards, software deployment, systems administration, and recovery
- Work closely with users, IT staff, and network teams to ensure seamless performance
- Participate in planning, testing, and implementing new desktop/network strategies and technologies
- Document procedures and enforce quality standards
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of experience (or equivalent)
- A+ certification required
- MCSA certification required (MCSE acceptable in lieu)
- MCP/MTA certification required
- Experience with both Microsoft and Apple environments
- Proficiency with a wide range of COTS desktop and network software/hardware
