This is a senior, hands-on architecture role for someone who can design at scale and also get in the weeds to fix performance and cost. You’ll lead Databricks platform architecture, drive tuning and monitoring, and implement DevOps and pipeline standards across programs.

What You’ll Do
- Design and architect scalable, secure Databricks solutions with strong performance, cost, and reliability
- Operate as a hands-on Databricks and DataOps architect to reduce consumption and resolve performance issues
- Build or enable monitoring tools to improve platform visibility and governance
- Drive performance initiatives, identify tuning opportunities, and set up performance environments
- Implement DevOps processes on the Databricks platform
- Harmonize and curate pipelines across multiple programs
- Work in or alongside Hadoop environments where required
- Lead with strong communication and technical leadership in a self-directed, remote setup
What You Need
- 12+ years of experience in architecture, design, and data engineering for large-scale data ecosystems
- Strong Databricks platform knowledge with architecture and implementation depth
- Unity Catalog migration and implementation exposure
- Spark Streaming pipeline design experience
- DataOps and DevOps process implementation experience on Databricks
- Good exposure to AWS
- Experience reducing Databricks consumption and improving performance through tuning and optimization
- Experience building monitoring tools or defining monitoring strategy
- Hadoop environment experience
- Strong communication, leadership skills, and ability to work independently
