- Typical hiring salary range: $100,300 to $150,465 (full salary grade: $100,300 to $172,000)
What You’ll Do
- Assess existing systems and integrations to identify capabilities, gaps, and modernization opportunities
- Lead system design and architecture decisions to build secure, scalable, reliable solutions
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across backend and frontend work while setting engineering best practices
- Partner with product, infrastructure, and business teams to define tech roadmaps and implementation plans
- Mentor and guide development teams, building a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Translate technical strategy into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and leadership
- Support Medica’s eligibility platforms with solutions that prioritize efficiency, scalability, compliance, and financial integrity
What You Need
- Strong experience with Python, Informatica, and SQL
- Strong understanding of system design principles, architecture patterns, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, APIs, microservices)
- 7+ years of software engineering or technical architecture experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong analytical thinking and a self-starter mindset
- Strong understanding of systems and data governance standards and hierarchies
- Ability to think strategically and influence with formal and informal leadership
