Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast healthcare outcomes, patient risks, and Stars quality measures
- Conduct advanced statistical analysis to support healthcare quality improvement initiatives
- Lead analytics development for HEDIS measures and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accuracy
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve Medicare Stars ratings
- Integrate and manage diverse data sources, including claims, benefits, and surveys
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analytics projects
- Communicate analytical findings clearly through reports, visualizations, and presentations
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, and operations teams to align data science with business goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5–7 years of experience in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare, Medicare Stars, and HEDIS measures
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy predictive models and ML algorithms in healthcare settings
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with healthcare claims, Medicare Stars, and patient risk prediction
- Knowledge of treatment optimization and resource allocation models
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience and location)
