If you’re a hands-on data architect who can design the “shared language” of a platform and still roll up your sleeves to build it, this role is for you. You’ll own the canonical event layer, unify data across core systems, and guide an AWS-based modernization that supports microservices at scale.
About Concentrix
Concentrix is a global technology and services leader helping major brands modernize and simplify customer experiences through data, engineering, and tech-powered transformation. Their Technical Products and Services team delivers consulting and build work that accelerates enterprise modernization.

- Remote: United States (East Coast preferred)
- Time zone expectation: Must be willing to work EST hours
- Role type: Working architect (design + hands-on build/validation)
- Hiring note: Background check required due to sensitive data handling
What You’ll Do
- Design and build a canonical event schema that unifies data across multiple core systems with business context embedded
- Define and implement schema registry and governance for the virtual canonical layer
- Create an event versioning strategy to support schema evolution over time
- Design multi-tenant event envelope patterns for flexible downstream consumption
- Define and formalize an enterprise data dictionary across multiple source systems
- Build an abstraction layer that shields consumers from source system complexity
- Implement metadata management and cataloging using AWS Glue Catalog
- Map systems of record to the standard data model using FDX JSON format
- Write and validate SQL queries, transformation logic, and data quality rules to prove architectural decisions
- Partner with application teams building containerized microservices to ensure integration success
What You Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
- 10+ years in data management, including 5+ years in data architecture roles
- Experience partnering with application teams in microservices and/or container-orchestrated environments
- Proven experience designing canonical data models and event schemas across multiple source systems
- Experience with schema registry tools and event versioning strategies
- Strong knowledge of Data Mesh principles and Data Fabric concepts
- Expert knowledge of AWS data services (Lambda, SQS, S3, Glue, Glue Catalog, RDS, DynamoDB)
- Experience with event-driven architectures where data is exposed as events vs direct DB access
- Deep data modeling expertise (conceptual, logical, physical) using ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar
- Strong hands-on SQL skills for profiling, validation, and transformation
Benefits
- Base salary range: $106,087–$197,020 plus incentives
