What You’ll Do

  • Conduct proactive technical security assessments based on alerts, advisories, and research
  • Hunt threats, review indicators of compromise, and support incident response with enterprise-grade tools
  • Design and implement security controls aligned with NIST, FISMA, and DoD frameworks
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents with rapid containment and remediation
  • Partner cross-functionally to align enterprise policies to multiple federal cybersecurity mandates
  • Develop and maintain security documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, and audit reports
  • Support accreditation and authorization efforts under RMF and DIACAP
  • Stay current on emerging threats, regulatory changes, and security best practices

What You Need

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility)
  • Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent U.S. Government work experience
  • 2+ years supporting cybersecurity work with or within the U.S. Government or U.S. Military
  • Working knowledge of federal frameworks and mandates (NIST 800-53/171, RMF, FISMA, FedRAMP, CMMC)
  • Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, and vulnerability management systems
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT (or similar risk-focused credentials)
  • Bonus: Security+, CEH, SANS certifications
  • Bonus: exposure to CMMC, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GovCloud)
  • Bonus: system administration experience across multiple platforms and applications
  • Bonus: basic IT project management knowledge
