What You’ll Do
⦁ Lead system design, architecture, and integration across hardware, software, networking, and storage components
⦁ Evaluate emerging tools and platforms and recommend solutions based on performance, reliability, scalability, and cost
⦁ Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks and improving throughput and resource utilization
⦁ Integrate security and compliance requirements (FISMA, NIST frameworks, GDPR considerations as applicable) into architectures
⦁ Design for scalability, resilience, redundancy, and failover to support growing workloads
⦁ Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, network engineers, DBAs, and stakeholders to ensure interoperability
⦁ Create technical documentation (design docs, architecture diagrams, implementation guides) and provide project updates
⦁ Stay current on industry best practices and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes
What You Need
⦁ 10+ years of experience in system design, architecture, and implementation
⦁ Strong knowledge of hardware, operating systems, networking protocols, and storage technologies
⦁ Programming proficiency in multiple languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript)
⦁ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
⦁ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical teams
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
⦁ U.S. citizenship and Active Public Trust/MBI (or ability to obtain)
⦁ Certifications are a plus (CISSP, CCNA, AWS or Azure Solutions Architect)
