- Hours: 11:00am to 8:00pm Eastern (Second Shift)
- Travel: Up to 10%
- Expectation: Tier 2/3 cloud security and network support for FAA development tenants, with responsive ticket and incident handling
- Background: Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, application errors, and outages across cloud and hybrid environments
- Provide cloud security and network operations support, resolving incidents and responding to service desk tickets quickly
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Datadog for cloud performance and security monitoring
- Support secure web gateway and Zero Trust access through Zscaler
- Assist with network security devices, including Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems
- Support secure hybrid connectivity, including routing, subnets, and access controls
- Implement and monitor cloud-native controls like IAM, encryption, logging, and intrusion detection
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance findings under FAA and federal guidelines
- Maintain documentation for cloud security and network configurations, firewall rule sets, and troubleshooting procedures
- Support compliance efforts tied to NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, and Zero Trust frameworks
- Contribute to incident response investigations, escalating and resolving security events as needed
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to integrate security and firewall best practices into deployments
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for infrastructure, automation tools, and development environments
What You Need
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2+ years supporting cloud security and network operations
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in network configuration, firewall administration, and Palo Alto firewall support
- Strong working knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust security frameworks
- Experience troubleshooting cloud and network environments and providing Tier 2 or Tier 3 support
- Ability to manage and resolve service desk tickets in a timely manner
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background check
