What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain EDI file feeds (834 and flat files) per carrier requirements
- Collaborate with clients and carriers to gather requirements and provide technical expertise
- Translate specifications into mapping logic and implement solutions through code/configuration
- Troubleshoot and resolve transmission or data mapping issues with carriers and vendors
- Build and manage secure file transfer processes (SFTP, FTP, AS2, API)
- Partner with internal teams to ensure integration timelines align with business needs
- Maintain detailed documentation of file specifications and processes
- Enhance EDI processes to improve scalability and reliability
- Provide technical assistance for escalated coding or troubleshooting issues
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in EDI development, integration, or implementation
- 3+ years building and supporting EDI file processes
- Hands-on experience with 834 and flat file creation/maintenance
- Strong knowledge of benefit plan data (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, COBRA, Flex Plans)
- Proficiency with SQL, JavaScript, GitHub (or similar version control)
- Familiarity with Pentaho transformation tool, MoveIT, or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data validation and analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client-facing discussions
