Job Summary

As a Marketing Content and Creative Lead you’ll be responsible for employing search marketing tactics to increase visibility and engagement with content, products, or services in Internet-enabled devices or interfaces. The role will be responsible for analyzing research, data, or technology to understand user intent and measure outcomes for ongoing optimization. The role will be expected to examine search query behaviors on general or specialty search engines or other Internet-based content. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Employ search marketing tactics to increase visibility and engagement with content, products, or services in Internet-enabled devices or interfaces. 
  • Examine search query behaviors on general or specialty search engines or other Internet-based content. 
  • Analyze research, data, or technology to understand user intent and measure outcomes for ongoing optimization. 
  • Work under the direction of Senior Director of Corporate Marketing to lead the global content and creative strategy, collaborating with offshore marketing resources by assigning daily tasks, providing feedback on quality of work and performance and ensuring project deliverables and deadlines are met. 
  • Help maintain the digital marketing pipeline for the company, which includes social media posting. 
  • Maintain company web-based platforms, which will include routine review and updates of page content, page design and layout and announcements. 
  • Work with cross-functional resources to manage company websites. 
  • Develop creative content for marketing ebooks and user guides, training/sales enablement material and other project deliverables to meet the department needs. 
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Experience, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a marketing-related occupation. Job Description:

Position requires a creative and innovative graphic designer to work with and support the internal departments and marketing needs of the university. This position works closely with the promotional writer(s) and project coordinator(s) on their team, with oversight from their Marketing Manager to ensure that the branding and marketing is integrated within the goals for the clients they serve. Employee must be proficient in Adobe creative suite and well-versed in all facets of design, including typography, color theory, and principles and elements of design. Position requires forward thinking, problem solving, and staying abreast of industry trends in designs.

While the Marketing Department home office is in Lynchburg, Va., this position is a remote, work-from-home position. There are a few occasions where the Senior Graphic Designer will be required to be in the office/Lynchburg area, which will be discussed after the job offer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual material for publications such as internal printed publications, recruiting viewbooks, flyers, posters, brochures, direct mail, and digital advertisements.
  2. Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization and keep familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  3. Review materials and information presented by internal customers and discuss various factors to determine most desirable presentation concept. Work with internal customers for successful completion of projects.
  4. Responsible for maintaining the look and feel of all publications in a consistent manner and adhering to existing brand identity guidelines.
  5. Demonstrates exceptional use of typography, color theory, and principles and elements of design in all created pieces.
