  • Remediate Word, PDF, and Excel files to meet 508 compliance—even those with redactions, image-only content, or non-OCRable data
  • Go beyond automation tools to manually ensure compliance with agency standards
  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing and troubleshoot issues per HHS and FDA compliance checklists
  • Deliver complete document remediation through a 3-step process:
    1. Initial remediation submission
    2. PM-reviewed correction pass
    3. Final delivery within 10 business days of feedback
  • Identify and flag documents needing alt text
  • Ensure each document is accessible, regardless of structure or condition

🧠 What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Section 508 compliance and remediation
  • Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.0, Section 508, and federal accessibility standards
  • Proficiency with document remediation tools (Adobe Acrobat, CommonLook, Microsoft Accessibility tools)
  • Skilled in accessibility testing of front-end web features and evaluating outcomes
  • DHS Trusted Tester certification (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
