What You’ll Do

  • Automate manual processes to improve interoperability workflows
  • Configure HL7 connections cross-functionally with internal teams and clients
  • Troubleshoot interface connection issues and other technical complications
  • Provide customer support to internal Zotec teams and external clients
  • Write and run SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
  • Review logs to identify patterns and prevent future issues
  • Use JavaScript and SQL to create custom processes and modify data files
  • Develop custom interfaces and data extracts from SQL sources
  • Build custom reporting methods using Mirth Connect
  • Maintain the Mirth Connect system, including failures/errors, upgrades, and resource allocation
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned and support on-call items through resolution

What You Need

  • 5–7 years of healthcare integration experience
  • Interface engine experience required (Mirth preferred)
  • Knowledge of common healthcare file structures and formats (HL7, EDI X12, image formats, Excel, OCR)
  • Strong SQL experience (writing and running queries for analysis)
  • JavaScript experience for data transformation
  • Experience working in a change control environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in informatics or related field (preferred)
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work
