What You’ll Do
- Develop backend integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and legacy systems (no GUI)
- Build processes to connect the VA’s legacy system with a new case management tool (RES)
- Collaborate with BGS teams to access Corporate Database API services
- Coordinate hosting needs across VA’s OIT environments
- Work closely with multiple application teams to meet integration requirements
- Create database objects and support integration testing
- Contribute to system documentation and assist with training materials
- Participate in code reviews and Sprint Reviews for deliverable alignment
- Analyze system capabilities, input/output requirements, and data flows
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of experience (or equivalent)
- Experience with system integrations and back-end development
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum processes
- Ability to work independently and communicate across diverse teams
- Experience with GitHub and software development lifecycle tools
- U.S. citizenship or work authorization
