Schedule

- Candidates within 75 minutes of the NYC office must follow a hybrid schedule
- Core collaboration hours: 12 PM – 5 PM EST
- Scrumban-style 2-week sprint cycle
- Frequent deployments (20+ per week)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core platform services and internal libraries using Python, Golang, and Typescript
- Architect, deploy, and refine AWS infrastructure using Terragrunt and OpenTofu (Terraform)
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using Python, Golang, and Bash
- Implement and enforce strong security standards, including IAM, networking, and HIPAA-related controls
- Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency across systems
- Support product engineering teams with foundational infrastructure
- Translate large requirements into clear, iterative milestones with measurable value
- Mentor engineers across teams and influence platform architecture
- Identify opportunities to improve developer experience and reduce friction
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain uptime and resolve incidents quickly
Requirements
- 3+ years in Platform, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
- 2+ years writing production backend code
- 2+ years working with AWS (ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora, SQS, EventBridge, EC2, ECR, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with Terraform/OpenTofu
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Skilled with containerization and orchestration
- Hands-on experience responding to production incidents in on-call rotations
- Strong communication, troubleshooting ability, and comfort in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with observability platforms: Datadog, Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpsGenie, Sumo Logic
Nice-to-Have
- Experience migrating from monoliths to microservices
- Linux, networking, and security best practices
