If you’re the kind of person who likes turning messy, real-world healthcare data into working AI systems (not just pretty notebooks), this role is built for that. You’ll design and deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions that reduce admin friction and help hospitals run more efficiently.

About Ensemble Health Partners
Ensemble Health Partners delivers technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions to hospitals and physician groups nationwide. They’re investing heavily in innovation and use AI to reduce administrative complexity and healthcare costs.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Remote (Nationwide)
  • Travel: may be required (they call out “frequent travel may be required”)
  • Experience level: 7–10 years
  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent experience

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop AI/ML systems, including generative AI and LLM-enabled solutions
  • Build model and data pipelines, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows
  • Evaluate and deploy models across large, multimodal datasets
  • Apply deep learning and ML techniques to generate business insights and improve decision-making
  • Automate processes and build infrastructure that supports the AI team’s delivery speed
  • Collaborate closely with data science, product, and analytics teams to ship useful solutions
  • Drive standardization, optimization, and scalable “gold standard” engineering practices

What You Need

  • 5+ years implementing AI/ML solutions in real environments
  • 3+ years with frameworks/tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost (or equivalents)
  • Experience with MLOps and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Experience deploying ML models and maintaining data/code pipelines
  • Familiarity with LLM tooling and RAG stacks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Azure AI Studio, vector databases)
  • Strong data skills (SQL, Azure Data Factory) or big data tooling (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Solid software engineering habits: CI, unit/integration testing, code reviews
  • Strong communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness/ability to travel as needed

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits (health, time off, retirement, wellbeing programs)
  • Professional certifications and tuition reimbursement
  • Recognition and incentive programs

One thing to watch: “AI Engineer” in the header, but the summary reads like a Lead AI Engineer with 7–10 years expected and travel. If you’re not already operating at lead level, this could be a stretch.
