🛠️ What You’ll Do
As Platform Architect, you’ll lead the charge in shaping the technical future of TetraScience. This isn’t just an advisory role—you’ll architect the data backbone powering next-gen scientific discovery.
Your core responsibilities:
- Own and drive the end-to-end platform architecture
- Partner with Product & Engineering to align execution with technical vision
- Spearhead architectural discussions with partners like Google, Databricks, and Snowflake
- Mentor a small but mighty team of architects and engineers
- Lead innovation on scalability, resilience, and data performance
- Represent TetraScience at industry events and evangelize our approach
- Stay ahead of emerging tech and forge meaningful peer relationships across the ecosystem
🧩 Your Background
We’re looking for a leader with vision, humility, and action in equal measure.
Must-haves:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience architecting scalable, cloud-native data platforms
- Expertise in AWS, service-based architecture, and web-scale patterns
- Deep experience with ETL pipelines, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
- Proven ability to influence product strategy and execution
- Strong communication skills, especially when engaging execs and cross-functional teams
- A “learn-it-all” mindset—relentlessly curious and hungry to grow
- Experience leading in startup or fast-growth environments
Bonus:
- Hands-on with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience in Life Sciences, Biopharma, or regulated data environments
- Thought leadership in cloud architecture or scientific data
