Expensify is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the systems that power our platform—ensuring performance, uptime, and security at scale. You’ll help build, tune, and automate critical infrastructure so our users can focus on their goals, not their expenses. • $180K–$300K salary + equity
• Full-time
• 100% Remote with optional relocation to San Francisco, Portland, New York, or London
• One-month team “offshore” abroad every year

📋 What You’ll Own
• Design, implement, and maintain systems for monitoring application health, server performance, and infrastructure resilience
• Configure secure, scalable services—load balancers, firewalls, proxies, redundancy layers
• Build automation that improves deployment, reliability, and developer productivity
• Own incident prevention, resolution, and postmortem processes
• Collaborate closely with product and customer support teams to drive platform growth
• Maintain a high bar for platform security across the stack
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Strong experience in Linux system administration
• Fluent in infrastructure automation and config management (Python preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and deployment pipelines
• Deep understanding of networking and infrastructure-level security
• Passion for building stable, scalable systems that quietly power great products
• Ability to break down problems and design clean, lasting solutions
