Weights & Biases is building the gold-standard developer platform for machine learning practitioners, trusted by over 1,000 companies including OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Toyota. As a Staff Technical Writer, you’ll own the documentation that powers our tools—helping users build better models and workflows through clear, actionable writing. You’ll collaborate across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Sales to make complex ML tools accessible to developers and data scientists.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Write and maintain product docs, user guides, tutorials, and API references
• Run and test example scripts using the W&B SDK to build subject-matter expertise
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and feature updates
• Champion documentation quality—clarity, conciseness, consistency
• Create style guides and improve doc tooling and structure
• Collect and act on feedback from users and internal stakeholders
• Own and execute large, multi-stakeholder projects with high visibility
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 10+ years as a technical writer in software, with API, SDK, or ML tool experience
• Strong Python scripting skills and hands-on experience with code libraries
• Comfortable generating documentation from structured data or APIs
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Experience mentoring or managing other writers
• Agile mindset—shipped is better than perfect, with continuous iteration
• Deep understanding of the machine learning lifecycle and tooling
