Side, a global video game co-development leader, is assembling a Talent Pool of seasoned UI/UX Engineers to support future projects across platforms like PC, console, mobile, and AR/VR. • Remote-first (U.S., Canada, UK, Romania, Brazil)
• Project-based contracts on cutting-edge titles
• Shape UI/UX across multiple input types (touch, gamepad, VR/AR)
• Join a global network of 40+ studios in 15 countries
📋 What You’ll Own
• Build responsive, immersive UI/UX systems for AAA titles
• Translate wireframes and concepts into functional UI using C++ and/or C#
• Collaborate with design, art, and backend teams to ensure a fluid user journey
• Integrate analytics/telemetry tools to iterate based on player behavior
• Optimize for cross-platform input (keyboard, controller, touchscreen, VR hand tracking)
• Debug, refine, and enhance user experiences across gameplay features
• Contribute to packaging and streaming of UI content for production pipelines
🎯 Requirements
Core Technical Skills
• Proficiency in C++ (C# is a plus)
• Understanding of computer graphics pipelines and linear algebra
• Experience with Unreal Engine UI systems (Slate, UMG)
• Bonus: Web UI development or familiarity with AR/VR design
Design & UX Fluency
• Knowledge of usability, interaction design, and user-centered design
• Experience with telemetry-based UI optimization
• Must have shipped at least one AAA game
• Passion for immersive, player-friendly design
Preferred
• Experience designing UI/UX for VR/AR platforms
• Strong eye for visual hierarchy, typography, and layout
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative design workflows
