🎥 About the Role
Sawhorse Productions—a creative force behind immersive experiences for brands like Google, Walmart, and NBCU—is seeking a Content Capture Artist to bring virtual worlds to life. You’ll capture cinematic visuals inside platforms like Roblox, Fortnite, and other UGC/metaverse spaces to power trailers, promos, and social content.
This is a hands-on, mid-level freelance role perfect for someone who knows how to move a virtual camera like a storyteller—and loves staying ahead of the curve in gaming culture.
🕹️ What You’ll Do
- Capture high-quality gameplay, cinematic shots, and stills across platforms like Roblox and Fortnite
- Build and organize project files, proxies, synced dailies, and stringouts for editors
- Scout digital locations and plan creative capture sessions
- Direct, dress, and manage in-game avatars to execute specific shots
- Collaborate with directors and producers to execute shot lists aligned with campaign strategy
- Use tools like OBS Studio, Roblox Studio, and FreeCam to record optimized footage
- Flag bugs, provide QA feedback, and support polish efforts
- Track trends in gaming, TikTok, and metaverse platforms to keep work fresh and platform-relevant
- Mentor junior capture artists and help scale post-production operations
✅ What You’ll Bring
- 🎮 3+ years capturing gameplay or metaverse content for marketing campaigns
- 🎥 Strong understanding of cinematic composition and storytelling through camera work
- đź› Proficiency in OBS Studio, Roblox Studio, FreeCam, and similar tools
- 🧠Organizational mindset—capable of building clean post-production handoffs
- đź’¬ Strong communicator, especially when working cross-team or with remote creatives
- 📱 Experience creating assets tailored to social platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram)
- 🎞 Light editing chops in Adobe Premiere and support for post-production workflows

- Basic VFX or After Effects experience
- Familiarity with Web3 platforms (Zepeto, Decentraland, Sandbox)
- Light blockchain literacy (NFTs, Ethereum layers)
- On-set production experience (e.g., second AC, media wrangling)
