🧾 About the Role
Vertex is hiring a Workday Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise solutions across our Workday environment. You’ll be the strategic bridge between business needs and technical capabilities—shaping how Workday Financials, HCM, Adaptive Planning, and integrated tools come together to support growth. This is a full-time remote position with cross-functional impact across IT and business stakeholders.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Workday Financials, HCM, and Adaptive Planning
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT product managers, and compliance teams to align technology with company goals
• Design integration strategies between Workday and other enterprise applications
• Evaluate and implement new Workday features and industry best practices
• Drive application roadmap and contribute to continuous product enhancement
• Maintain architectural blueprints, data flows, and system diagrams
• Define and manage non-functional requirements and system performance
• Optimize product performance and eliminate tech redundancy
• Participate in PI planning and define Enabler Epics with Product Management
• Foster innovation through new technology adoption and agile delivery
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 5+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years as a Workday Architect
• Deep knowledge of Workday HCM, Financials, Payroll, Adaptive Planning
• Experience with Workday integration tools (Studio, EIB) and security models
• Strong background in enterprise architecture and systems design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working within a SAFe Agile framework
• Proficient in JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Workday Certification(s) preferred
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other integrated business systems a plus
