Progressive Leasing is hiring a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design and implement robust cloud security controls across AWS and Azure environments. You’ll work directly with DevOps, engineering, and compliance teams to embed security into every layer of infrastructure. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and governance frameworks
• Lead the implementation of scalable security controls in AWS and Azure
• Build and refine logging, monitoring, and alerting across cloud services
• Evaluate 3rd-party and native cloud security tools (CNAPP, GuardDuty, etc.)
• Collaborate with SecOps for threat detection and incident response
• Conduct threat modeling and security reviews of cloud architectures
• Monitor compliance with NIST, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and CIS Benchmarks
• Support DevSecOps practices and secure automation in CI/CD pipelines
• Design dashboards, metrics, and reports for leadership visibility
• Promote best practices and serve as internal cloud security advocate
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 5+ years in cloud or infrastructure security
• Expertise in AWS (Azure is a plus)
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
• Knowledge of IAM, encryption, network security, and logging standards
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container security in cloud ecosystems
• Understanding of frameworks like NIST, SOC 2, or PCI DSS
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to lead initiatives end-to-end
• Clear communicator with the ability to translate complex ideas for varied audiences
