🧾 About the Role
WaveStrong is seeking a seasoned Encryption Engineer for a 6-month contract opportunity. In this role, you’ll work with encryption technologies across cloud and on-prem environments, supporting customer deployments, guiding best practices, and providing subject matter expertise on HSMs and secure key management systems.

📋 What You’ll Own
• Deploy encryption managers in VMware, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Hypervisor environments
• Act as technical point of contact for HSM-related deployments, including Luna, CipherTrust, ProtectDB, and ProtectApp
• Provide network design consultation, including static IP, DHCP, VLANs, and bonding
• Deliver internal and external technical presentations and training
• Mentor other WaveStrong team members during deployments
• Manage virtualization systems: VMWare, Xen, KVM, Docker
• Support Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, NTFS permissions, and Group Policy
• Implement and maintain identity management, SSO, SAML, LDAP, and RADIUS systems
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Strong experience with HSM deployment and key management (CipherTrust, Luna, ProtectDB)
• Hands-on knowledge of encryption systems across hybrid cloud infrastructures
• Fluency in both on-prem and cloud-based security architecture
• Strong working knowledge of networking principles (routing, VLANs, firewalls)
• Familiarity with identity and authentication protocols (2FA, SAML, RADIUS, LDAP)
• Comfortable leading client engagements and providing knowledge transfer
• Experience with virtualization and container environments (VMware, Xen, Docker)
• Cisco experience is a plus
