As a Remote Academic Support Specialist for ECPI Universityâs Online Information and Cybersecurity Operations program, youâll work one-on-one with students to boost comprehension, build skills, and provide guidance that sticks. Position Highlights
⢠Part-time, 100% Remote
⢠Evening and weekend availability required
⢠Work directly with cybersecurity students in a 5-week accelerated program
⢠Blend technical mentorship, academic coaching, and tech troubleshooting
⢠Contribute to curriculum development and student outreach
đ What Youâll Own
⢠Support students one-on-one through tutoring, mentoring, and academic skill-building
⢠Help with time management, note-taking, studying, and coursework comprehension
⢠Troubleshoot technical issues related to academic systems
⢠Perform proactive outreach to students needing extra help
⢠Document session notes in the learning management system
⢠Develop and share supplemental resources (videos, guides, articles)
⢠Collaborate with faculty and offer feedback to improve curriculum
đŻ Must-Have Traits
⢠Bachelorâs degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
⢠1â2 years of relevant work experience within the last 5 years
⢠Knowledge of OSI/TCP-IP models, routing, switching, server/network admin
⢠Familiarity with mobile/wireless security and virtualization implications
⢠Some Python knowledge preferred
⢠Strong interpersonal and listening skillsâempathetic and student-first
⢠Able to thrive independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
⢠Organized, communicative, and integrity-driven
