🧾 About the Role
Strategic Systems, Inc. (STRSI) is looking for an experienced Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) Architect or Senior Engineer for an 18-month contract. This is a high-level, client-facing role focused on building, deploying, and optimizing complex MIM environments while offering strategic guidance to both technical and executive stakeholders.

📋 What You’ll Own
Architecture & Engineering
• Lead deployment and optimization of MIM 2016 solutions
• Guide customers on best practices for stable, secure identity environments
• Drive architectural design sessions (ADS), deployment planning sessions (DPS), and proofs of concept (POCs)

Client Support & Communication
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders and technical teams
• Create remediation strategies and reduce support incidents
• Provide hands-on triage during critical escalations and post-incident analysis
• Deliver workshops, health checks, and upgrade assessments

Systems & Performance
• Conduct performance reviews of systems and deployments
• Troubleshoot MIM infrastructure issues including IIS, SQL, AD, and PowerShell
• Optimize synchronization performance and request handling
• Document and communicate technical findings and recommendations


🎯 Must-Have Traits
• Deep experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (2016 Sync & Service/Portal)
• Proficient in managing agents (ADDS, SQL, MIMMA), attribute flow, and AADConnect
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory structure, permissions, object types, and inheritance
• Skilled in policy-driven and scoping filter-based sync rules, MIM SSPR, and workflows
• Strong troubleshooting background: request handling, search performance, scaling
• Familiar with IIS, SQL Server (permissions, aliases), and PowerShell scripting
• Solid grasp of Windows Server environment fundamentals


💻 Remote Requirements
• Must be located in the U.S. (Ohio preferred)
• Primary internet: 15 Mbps minimum
• Backup internet: 10 Mbps, power-outage capable
• Primary device: Desktop/laptop with modern processing power
• Webcam and USB noise-canceling headset
• Quiet, dedicated home office space
