Grand Canyon Education is seeking a Developer I to join our high-performing marketing development team. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain modern web applications and sites that drive visibility, performance, and innovation across the organization. 📋 What You’ll Own
• Build and maintain modern websites and apps with React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, PHP, and Node.js
• Collaborate across teams to gather requirements, define timelines, and execute deliverables
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, high-performance experiences
• Develop and maintain robust APIs
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Docker, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS)
• Follow best practices in coding, documentation, and testing
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web tech, especially AI/LLM-driven tools
🎯 Must-Have Traits
• 1–2 years of professional web development experience
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficient with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, PHP
• Experience with React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
• Familiarity with Git and tools like GitHub
• Exposure to Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with ticketing systems (Jira or Azure DevOps)
• Passionate about problem-solving, detail-oriented, and self-driven
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
💻 Remote Requirements
• Strong time management skills in a distributed work environment
• Ability to communicate effectively across virtual teams
• Reliable home office setup with high-speed internet
💡 Even Better If You Have
• Interest or experience with AI/ML tools, especially Large Language Models
• Experience integrating AI-driven features into web applications
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
